A man was burnt to death in a Bihar village for having an alleged extra-marital affair with a neighbour's wife, police said on Monday.
Dilip Ram, in his 30s, was burnt alive late Sunday at Sumera village in Muzaffarpur district, about 70 km from here.
"Ram's neighbour allegedly caught Ram in a compromising position with his wife. This angered the neighbour so much that he along with others first beat Ram and then burnt him after pouring kerosene on him," a police officer said.
However, Ram's wife Janki Devi told police that her husband did not had an extra-marital affair and was burnt as part of a conspiracy.
