LSP threatens legal action against TDP

Vexed with persistent allegations against him and the Lok Satta Party (LSP) by the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), LSP president Jayaprakash Narayan said on Wednesday that the party would not lower the dignity of politics by responding in the same vein but would file defamation suits against them.
He also made it clear that the LSP would file suits against media organisations too if they published baseless allegations aimed at character assassination of LSP leaders. Rebutting all the TDP allegations at a media conference here, he said political parties which wanted status quo in politics were intolerant towards value-based politics ushered in by the LSP.
